While I provide person centered treatment and you are not your diagnosis, it may be helpful to know that I work with people who struggle with:

Although having a diagnosis can be useful in guiding recovery, you don’t need a diagnosis to seek help. If you’re struggling with food and body, that’s reason enough to reach out. Schedule a free 45 minute call with me and we can decide together what type of support may be the best fit.

What you can expect from virtual nutrition counseling

  • You’ll complete a free introductory call with me. We will discuss your needs, goals, and how I can help. If we decide, together, that we’re a good fit, we’ll schedule our first appointment/assessment. All meetings occur on a HIPAA compliant platform.

  • Before your first session, I’ll send you forms to fill out prior to your session.

We will complete an in depth assessment to identify needs, barriers, treatment goals, other wants/needs of treatment. (Of course, all of this is subject to change — and often does! — as you continue to work together.)

  • This frequently will be discussed during your assessment. We will meet weekly (at minimum) to start. This way, you get the support you need to start the recovery process. Each week, you’ll take small steps towards your long-term goals. Nutrition counseling is a process, not a quick fix. You won’t get much out of just a couple sessions - most clients work with me for several months at a time.

If you cancel a session within 48 hours of the session start time, or if you no-show a session, your card on file will be billed for the full rate of the session. • In most cases, you don’t need a referral for nutrition counseling.

However, in order to submit claims to your insurance plan or provide you with a superbill for potential out-of-network reimbursement, I might need some information from your primary care provider (or your therapist, if you’ve been diagnosed with an eating disorder) in order to fill out the required documentation. We’ll discuss this with you prior to your initial session if it’s necessary.
